Ostomed Ltd is an independent wholesaler specializing in Surgical Appliances & Dressings since 1984. Based in Lancashire, Ostomed supplies a vast product range of over 6000 lines supplying Pharmacies and patients across the UK.
Ostomed was created with a clear mission to create a customer focused surgical appliance wholesaler that strives for high levels of product availability and ‘on-time’ quality service. We have a total commitment to the understanding of our customer needs spanning over 30 successful years.
We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service to all our customers, and with a dedicated caring team of fully qualified customer-service specialists to advise and take orders in our Blackpool depot, we are committed to ‘on-time and in full’ service.
All our stock is purchased from leading Manufactures & Wholesalers of Ostomy, Stoma Care, Wound care, Urology, Tracheostomy and continence Products, to enable us to fulfil all orders and prescriptions promptly. We receive daily deliveries, hold thousands of product lines in stock, and are able to dispense all appliances on the England and Wales Drug Tariff as a DAC’s licensed contractor.
Our stock holding availability is at a constant 98% enabling us to supply on demand, and any Specialist products we are able to source and supply in a timely manner. We pride ourselves on a 99.8% accuracy of our picking and packing operation. We have premises at Preston, Blackpool and Devon and are able to offer a same day / next day delivery service nationwide using our own modern fleet of vehicles and carriers.
Ostomed Ltd is committed to reduce its environmental impact, where practicable. Carbon reducing measures will form an integral part of the overall Company strategy and will help to improve both operational performance and a reduction in potentially harmful emissions to land, water and air. Our aim is for a 0% carbon balance to be achieved within a realistic and achievable period, comply with all current energy legislation, seeking to meet or better legislative targets. Minimise waste, promote recycling and the use of recycled products to help reduce the burden of landfill and therefore methane generation. And to promote environmental awareness and responsibility amongst all our employees.
